Within Personal Care’s Antiperspirants/Deodorants category, the fastest growing form in North America and the largest form globally is aerosols/sprays. This role is dedicated to our global sprays/aerosol program, both upstream/design and downstream/delivery. The package design and delivery system, and how it works together with the formula/concentrate and propellant systems to deliver the ideal consumer experience, makes this one of the most unique, fascinating and technically challenging platforms within the packaging discipline.
In this role you will be responsible for key components of technical/consumer learning plans, technical readiness activities, fit-for-use demonstration via test method development/execution/analysis, and qualification/launch activities. Roles/responsibilities will include:
Support current business for Global Aerosols in-market across North America, Europe and Latin America – this includes representing Packaging on multifunctional project teams, supplier interaction, specifications creation and learning/delivery plan execution
Execute samples creation in lab/Pilot Plant and support initiative scale-up to contract manufacturer
Analyze and troubleshoot aerosol packages – new technology evaluation, competitive assessment, or quality defect root cause
Execute against established packaging test methods, including aerosol characterization for consumer modeling or product release for consumer testing or market launch
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications/skills for this role:
Troubleshooting/technical curiosity
Scientific method & lab experiment planning/documentation
Computer skills and field-relevant program/app proficiency
Artios CAD
Statistical Data Analysis experience, for both lab methods and Scale-up/Qualification
Mechanically inclined – hands-on lab work, filling/gassing samples, sample analysis
Aerosol/Sprays knowledge/experience (bonus)
You would be expected to deliver a sustained level of technical insights derived from foundational excellence in Packaging procedural and application work, independently develop methodologies, interpret data, summarize and proposes logical next steps based on the information in hand.
You must be able to own and lead the technical assessments of key elements of a project (e.g., technology demonstration, technical issue anticipation and resolution, test method design and application, etc.), and possess (or quickly develop) a deep subject matter expertise with respect to relevant Packaging Transformations and Suppliers in their field.
