Description : This is a permanent part-time position (30hrs).
We are currently seeking and AHP Team Lead to join our Orthopaedic Team at IRH. This is exciting times at IRH with the new orthopaedic redesign within Clyde and development of the new ‘Centre for Excellence for Elective Surgery’. We are looking for an individual who has skills and experience of interdisciplinary communication to develop an AHP Team and has excellent leadership skills to support the AHP Team through the changes and to meet the current clinical demands.
AHP Team Leader will be responsible for the day to day management for the specialist physiotherapy and occupational therapy team within the orthopaedic service. This will include including strategic leadership, planning & operational issues, and human resource management. As the expert practitioner orthopaedics, you will be expected to take responsibility for the specialist services with a highly complex clinical caseload incorporating specialist patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge from care. You will be responsible for operational supervision of all grades of staff within team plus students on clinical placement and professional supervision of own discipline. You will also be expected review and analyse current practice and service provision, identifying areas for research and actively be involved in research and clinical effectiveness projects within the service
Minimum of 6 years post graduate experience, including 3 yrs working at Senior level within orthopaedics or relevant specialist area.
Professional qualification in Physiotherapy with current HCPC Registration.
