In this role, you will assist in all aspects of the sales process to include prospecting, cultivating, and closing clients. Additionally, you will work alongside an established team of Technical Program Managers, Software Architects and UX Product Designers who will provide pre-sales technical expertise and bring our clients’ ideas to life. The ideal candidate has an established network, technical depth, active listening skills, the right balance of confidence and humility, and thrives in collaboration with others. If you are passionate about technology, business development, and working with product and engineering teams focused on early-stage product development, this is the perfect opportunity for you!Your Contribution: Take ownership for a million dollar plus revenue target in support of meeting and exceeding quarterly and revenue targets.Learn our history, capabilities, and get to know our talented team to develop a deep understanding of our unique niche in the market and to collaborate with various experts most effectively across our team to maximize your ability to sell to prospective clients.Bring fresh ideas and approaches to the day to day prospecting for new business and have an established process to follow up with leads in your pipeline.Do your research on target clients, their company, and the industry they are in to better understand their business and to find creative ways to connect and support their goals.Primary duties include outreach via calling, email and text communication as well as representing GenUI at various industry events, conferences and networking functions.Partner closely with marketing to advance targeting and materials to maximize sales outreach/efforts.Leverage relationships across GenUI to find and access potential leads, and track and report all sales activities in our CRM.Efficiently make ‘go/no go’ decisions by strategically evaluating opportunities and ensuring we pursue those that best align with GenUI’s growth strategies, capabilities, and vision.Your Experience: Bachelor’s degree is highly desired.5 years of Business Development experience in technology solution/services sales.Experience selling to one or more of the following verticals: life sciences/biotech, health/wellness, research and development, and emerging technology companies.Experience working in partnership with Product and Engineering Teams who provide technical expertise.At least 2+ years (preferably the most recent) experience at a professional services firm is highly desired.Experience as a Technology Evangelist and/or Account Management a plus.Experience selling mobile, web, and cloud solutions is highly desired.Your Skills: Ability to speak intelligently about custom software development, technology commercialization, and the conception/launch of new products.Strong interpersonal and networking skills: outgoing, positive, has a proven ability to make and nurture genuine connections.Confident in your abilities while also being humble and open to learning.Highly goal oriented, motivated by the hunt, and stays hungry!Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Strong excitement for storytelling.Exhibits a “can do” attitude; willingness and openness to drive a deal through with a “What can I do to help?” mentality.A community builder focused on long-term relationships.Expert at navigating social media (e.g. LinkedIn) to cultivate prospects.GenUI is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 – $300,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Commission payCOVID-19 considerations:We’re all vaccinatedExperience:Business Development: 5 years (Required)software sales: 2 years (Required)new business/lead generation: 2 years (Required)Software Consulting: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
