Position: Buyer Medical IT
Location: Leeds (working from home and office based)
Contract Type: Full Time and Permanent
Salary: £30,000
Shift pattern: Monday-Friday office hours

We are looking for a Buyer who has an understanding of IT Systems and Digital Solutions, who is confident in engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels, and most of all who is driven to provide the best experience for our customers and is passionate about delivering value to the NHS to join our Medial IT Team.

What will you be doing?
You will be selling the NHS Supply Chain Medical IT framework into NHS Trusts and supporting them through the procurement process to the point of a signed contract. The Buyer will help NHS trusts with the procurement process for acquiring Healthcare IT solutions. Once a trust have awarded a service to one of the framework suppliers the Buyer will assist the trust in completing the framework services contract to the point of signature.
Support NHS Trusts to procure clinical IT solutions
Develop a detailed knowledge of the Healthcare IT solutions covered within the framework and understand the benefits for our customers.
Deliver fully compliant tenders and manage the end to end process through to contract management
Work in support of the Buying team in developing category strategies and to ensure all contracts are implemented within required legal frameworks
Manage data in a methodical and systematic manner
Ensure all tenders are prepared and issued in accordance with internal and external regulations and procedures
Construct product and service specifications for tender
Develop and manage customer and supplier relationships to driver quality and achieve savings for the NHS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Background in/understanding of IT systems and digital solutions and or the NHS markets
Commercial experience/confident in discussing benefits of different IT systems and digital solutions
Experience in strategy development and delivery
High level of computer literacy
Ability to work cooperatively and support team members
