This role is a key strategic and leadership role in country as the Head of Digital Sales for Consumer Banking Business for Citi. The key objective of the role is to accelerate the transformation of sales to new and existing clients from an offline model to a dominant digital model, a critical strategic priority for Citi. The role holds the digital sales volume goals for various product lines including cards, loans, retail, and spearheading digital marketing strategy to grow revenue and engagement across new and existing clients.
The person will be key in leading Citi in developing and implementing competitive & relevant digital sales & digital marketing plans and optimizing paid & owned campaigns across all digital touchpoints. The person is responsible for driving greater velocity and returns for the digital acquisition (NTB) marketing and cross-sell/up-sell (ECM) marketing efforts, across all product portfolios.
The role needs deep expertise in direct-response and performance marketing, as well as strong paid media, and Martech/Adtech foundations will be critical to the success of this role.
The role cuts across functions and the person will partner with product owners, both Assets and Retail Banking, to deliver on this critical agenda. This individual will also work closely with our internal Decision Management team to identify cross-sell opportunities, building communications programs around customer segments and personas. They will also work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Digital Channels & Experience team to drive deeper engagement with Citi Mobile App, and adoption of proprietary tools and features.
The person will also lead a team of experienced, highly accountable digital marketers and act as the catalyst to drive a performance marketing program that delivers business growth and deepen client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the digital acquisition sales strategy and implement best-in-class practices across paid and owned channels. Implement and measure campaigns to maximize channel performance across NTB acquisition and cross-sell
Deliver against sales targets, and grow sales volumes for varied lines of business that depend on digital through different phases of the buying journey
Actively manage the funnel performance leveraging a data-first approach. Understand fall-out points throughout the conversion funnel and develop initiatives to increase yield and scale volume
Deliver the targets for cross-sell/up-sell (existing customer marketing) by leveraging Digital media and touch points
Lead and execute the test and learn agenda across product, creative, media and digital customer experience
Ensure profitable cost-per-acquisition by establishing guardrails such as max CPA and closely monitor & improve acquisition quality that drives positive portfolio performance and revenue.
Identify and lead integration of new capabilities and technologies to improve digital targeting (DMP, DSP) and funnel performance
Drive sales process re-engineering to deliver lower account turnaround time and higher efficiency
Champion technology enhancements and partnerships with market regulatory/ecosystem players to simplify digital sales/onboarding experience and make the process low touch and straight-through.
Build relationships with, and leverage key media platforms, publishers, and aggregators for scaling acquisitions
Partner with the regional / global teams to launch cutting edge digital media innovations and solutions
Build and lead a Digital Sales team to seamlessly deliver on the goals
Establish a framework for measurement for digital channel performance, including KPIs, benchmarks, and acceptable ROI
Knowledge/Experience/Technical skills:
At least 10 years of experience in Performance marketing, digital media and sales, project management
Expert knowledge in Digital paid media including PPC, Display, Affiliates and Social.
Experience leveraging web traffic (Google Analytics, Adobe Site Catalyst, etc.) and personalization/testing platforms (Adobe Target) tools.
Strong understanding of Martech/Adtech tools and capabilities necessary to work with big data across the organization
Ability to get into and working on detailed plans to drive speed of execution while staying focused on quality and sustenance of output
Exemplary leadership skills to be able to lead, influence and partner with teams across and outside the organization to drive the digital media strategy and framework
Be comfortable with getting into and working on detailed plans to drive speed of execution while staying focused on quality and sustenance of output
Experience managing large and complex projects across multiple stakeholders and teams
Strong relationship building skills & experience of working in a matrix organization
