Age UK has seen a dramatic increase in demand for our services since the pandemic hit in March 2020. Our award-winning Fundraising team launched our first ever Emergency appeal and raised over £12m in a few months, a huge amount of which was from new donors. This has given us a wealth of opportunity to deliver our strategy to grow and diversify our existing income streams, as well as testing new products and propositions to develop a truly first-class individual marketing programme. We aim to build on this success.
We’re looking for someone to join our Individual Marketing Acquisition team who will work on fundraising campaigns to inspire financial support from new donors. The team work across a variety of offline and online channels to deliver campaigns, develop new propositions and launch new fundraising products. Using audience insight, we find the motivations that are important for potential supporters to best engage them with our cause.
This opportunity would best suit a direct marketer who has experience acquiring new customers / supporters, driving incremental income/sales and managing large direct response campaigns. We’re looking for someone who is a creative and passionate team player with a keen eye for detail and appetite to test and learn.
About the role:
Delivering direct marketing campaigns to attract new supporters.Working with internal teams and external agencies on all aspects of campaign set-up including fulfilment, print and design, and reporting.
Understand acquisition audiences need and motivations to inform marketing content and channel plans.Reporting to and working with the Direct Marketing Manager for Acquisition to manage income and expenditure budgets for agreed campaigns.Delivering campaigns autonomously or as part of an integrated approach across fundraising and the wider Age UK group.Taking a bold approach to innovation to find new ways to attract supporters.
