The individual we seek will have overall management responsibility for all marketing activities that support our diverse membership, products, content, and programs at the association, including print and digital marketing, website strategy/execution, and market research.This position is accountable for establishing the annual marketing strategy, associated tactical plans, annual budgets, and successfully managing all tracking programs to measure and evaluate both effectiveness and impact of all marketing activities.You’ll be a hands-on marketing leader who advances a dynamic set of vital marketing functions in such a way to meet/exceed the goals of the association, while also mentoring and developing the existing marketing team, leveraging relationships with external marketing suppliers, and using performance data that supports organizational decision making. The Director of Marketing will join an organization that consistently uses cross-functional collaborative teams to maximize effectiveness.In a nutshell, everything you do will help AAHA grow and excel when it comes to marketing. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:· Collaborating closely with all stakeholders, develops and implements marketing strategies, internal processes, timelines, and budgets for the department – with accountability for the quality and effectiveness of all marketing programs.· Oversees all membership-directed communications, to include recruitment and retention programs.· Spearheads the development, design, and maintenance of marketing reporting systems to capture metrics and measure performance.· Working in cross-functional groups, position helps drive and monitor member engagement, while continuously improving the customer journey and experience – assessing and ensuring the benefits of membership reinforce and support the value proposition.· Deploys and maintains automated marketing and prospect funnel development activities across the organization, and ensures all promotional campaigns drive interest and sales.· Drives improvement in marketing and automated processes to increase pipeline growth and efficiency, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions.· Mentors, guides, and develops a passionate team of marketing professionals to consistently perform above standard, supporting a collaborative structure that best serves the organization’s stakeholders.· Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions to ensure ROI.· Enforces brand style guide on all marketing materials/communications and updates as necessary with creative team.Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or communications from an accredited university (Master’s degree preferred)· 8+ years’ proven and progressive experience in marketing field with demonstrated results· Previous supervision and team-building experience required· Veterinary industry knowledge a plus· Membership association marketing experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Reasoning Ability: · Excellent oral and written communication skills with all internal and external audiences.· Proven ability to manage performance analytics and budget planning.· Exemplary project management, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills are essential for success.· Experience in evaluating, deploying and maximizing efficiency of martech tools (CRM, CMS, lead gen and management, marketing automation, etc.)· Ability to work independently and setting priorities on a wide variety of new and ongoing projects.What we valueSIMPLICITY | We work smarter, not harder | We strive to simplify the journey towards excellence for veterinary practices through curiosity, creativity and removal of the unnecessary.COLLABORATION | We before me | Our commitment to each other’s success through active collaboration and teams with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and expertise creates better solutions rooted in empathy.INTEGRITY | Say what you’ll do, do what you say | We strive to be clear communicators and fulfill our promises to one another, intentionally building our foundation of trust and accountability.About AAHAEstablished in 1933 by leaders in the veterinary profession, AAHA is the only organization to accredit companion animal veterinary hospitals.
