We are looking for an enthusiastic First Contact Practitioner to become part of the MSK team in Hampshire. There is also an option for this to be a split post with the APP post.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Chartered Physiotherapist.
Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
Degree level educated. Masters would be beneficial.
At least 3 years MSK experience.
Duties of this role include:
To manage a complex clinical MSK caseload and be the first person assessing the patient, ensuring excellent patient care at all times.
Be able to know when to refer onto physiotherapy, podiatry or into the MSK service or back to the GP when required.
Ideally be able to inject joints. Independent prescribing is a benefit but not essential.
To take an active role in supporting the implementation of national developments locally.
To ensure appropriate referral onto different disciplines.
Keep abreast of developments in the FCP Road Map
Work well in an MDT clinic.
Have completed on line e training for FCP’s
Have completed stage one of the FCP road map.
