We are looking for an experienced Hospitality manager to join our team.Job PurposeThe Food and Beverage Floor Manager is a member of senior leadership team (SLT) and is responsible for all aspects of Food and Beverage operations and be an ambassador for the brand of the hotel, Managing overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent guest experience whilst coordinating and administering the Food and Beverage department to the highest standard. To train and support new members of the F00d and Beverage team.Conditions of employment: § The above responsibilities are subject to the general duties and responsibilities contained in the contract of employment.§ S/he shall uphold the hotel’s policies.§ S/he required to support and encourage the hotel’s objective and procedures agreed by the management.§ S/he shall be subject to all relevant statutory and institutional requirements.§ S/he may be required to perform any other reasonable tasks after consultation.§ This job description allocates duties and responsibilities but does not direct the amount of time to be spent on carrying the out and no part of it may be so constructed.§ This job description is not necessarily a comprehensives definition of the post. It will be reviewed at least once a year and it may be subject to modification at any time after consultation with the post holder.§ All members of staff are required to participate in the hotel’s appraisal scheme.Duties & Responsibilities: Guest Services§ Ensure the required standard of customer service is achieved within the Food and Beverage department.§ Create and maintain a personal and respectful rapport with regular guests.§ Attend to clients when and where required.§ Ensure the arrivals, departures, guest, and VIP lists are checked daily and staff are aware of guest requirements.§ Respond in a prompt and timely manner to all customer concerns and complaints.§ Participate in show rounds and entertainments for existing and potential clients to maintain customer loyalty.§ Ensure functions run smoothly to the arranged schedule and all equipment is set up and is in good working order.Financial§ Monitor guest credit accounts/age debtors communicate with FC and HOD.§ Liaise with the Financial Controller with regards to billing instructions in compliance with the company’s billing policy.§ Check/ensure checking all ledger bills daily to warrant correct details are entered/printed before forwarding the bills to the Accounting Department.§ Check/ensure checking of the End of Day reports.§ Monitor guest credit checks.§ Liaise with the Cost Control department in performing efficient financial and stock checks.Housekeeping and MaintenanceEnsure standards of cleanliness are always maintained within the public areas.Ensure housekeeping supplies and equipment are ordered for the smooth operation of the department.Report faults and issues to the General Manager or Maintenance Manager and follow through their completion.Food & BeverageMaximise sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.Forecast stock and staffing needsApply efficient food & beverages stock control.Coordinate the ordering of food stock and other suppliesControl deliveries and verify quantities delivered vs. ordersVerify use-by and expiration dates on all goods receivedEnsure all food prepared and served in the hotel complies with the highest standards of quality and presentation.Ensure staff are aware of the current licensing law and apply its requirements.Ensure food and hygiene standards are applied.§ Managing food and beverage operations within budget and to the highest standards.Prepare and submit statistical information and issue performance and forecast reports, as necessary.Liaise with other management and operational staff to plan menus, serving arrangements and other related details.Maintain accurate record of functions and group reservations in all F&B outlets.Ensure smooth running of all functions.Print menus and keep sufficient stock of brochures and other promotional materials.Maintain prompt and accurate record of procedures, training, staff reports, meetings, customer feedback and correspondence.Conduct regular departmental meetings, preparation of F&B rota and daily briefings with staff.Staff§ Ensure the staffing needs of the Food and beverage department are fulfilled for the smooth operation of the hotel.§ Inform the General manager of any additional staff needs.§ Work closely with Human Resources in recruitment procedures.§ Ensure all new employees are inducted and familiarised with Health, Safety and emergency procedures, all relevant forms are signed promptly, and a clock-in number is issued.§ Ensure all staff are in line with company Grooming Standard requirements.§ Liaise with HR to keep personal files up-to-date, confidential, and complete with all necessary forms.§ Check clock-in roll against the duty rota, prepare wages sheet fortnightly/monthly and submit it to the HR / accounts departments required.§ Manage and coordinate and authorise staff holidays.§ Notify Human Resources of any irregularities in staff performance, systematic absences, lateness etc.§ Participate in disciplinary procedures as required by the Human Resource Department.§ Establish and monitor effective employee relations.§ Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, appearance, and posture of all employees.§ Keep staff well informed of company objectives and policies.§ Monitor and identify training needs and arrange necessary training for staff.§ Carry out regular training sessions and conduct on-the-job training, as necessary.§ Participate in the preparation and updating of training manuals and training programmes.§ Conduct performance appraisals for all relevant staff as and when required in liaison with the Human Resource Department.§ Monitor all Food and Beverage personnel to ensure that guests receive prompt cordial attention and personal recognition.§ Prepare and publish F&B staff duty rota on a weekly basis as per business needs. Submit copies to the General Manager.§ Ensure/develop formal training plans and programmes to meet identified needs.§ Keep up to date training records.§ Identify potential among staff and promote learning, career development and progress within the Company.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionDiscounted or free foodOn-site parking
