The New York Times is seeking a Manager of Executive Assistants in the Advertising organization. You will play a critical role in development and maintaining the operational excellence of our leadership team and department.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting 1-2 senior leaders with complex calendar and travel management, T&E compliance, leadership team meetings, and general administrative support as required.
Ensure leaders are prepared for meetings and business trips with clear itineraries.
Track open items for resolution in order of key priorities.
Support coordination and development of department presentations and communications as needed.
Manage team of Executive Assistants by assessing talent, providing feedback, training, and development.
Develop consistent performance standards across the Executive Assistant team and ensure cross training and coverage for team members.
Partner with facilities to manage advertising usage of US offices and stay connected to key information in international offices.
Build strong relationships with leadership team, finance, and HR stakeholders as well as Executive Assistants across the organization to ensure efficient and effective partnership.
Required Qualifications
10+ years’ experience supporting at the executive level and 2+ years’ experience managing people
Strong working knowledge of G Suite and Workday preferred.
Detail oriented and proactive problem solver
Ability to work autonomously and exercise acute judgment on prioritizing critical issues
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Exceptional ability to manage relationships and resolve conflict
Utmost professionalism and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
