We believe in creating a work environment that provides growth potential within the company, while fostering the goals of each individual, both personal and professional.Come visit us at www.eldercareresourceplanning.org.About the role: We are seeking a Medicaid Specialist who will play a vital role in the company by working closely with the clients to plan for and submit an individual’s Medicaid application for long-term care assistance. The position requires a resourceful, self-directed team player capable of handling multiple tasks, including research, meeting with and communicating with clients via email/phone, collecting required application materials and drafting documents. This person will be supported by an Administrative Assistant and will report to the Medicaid Team Manager.Job description: The goal of the Medicaid Specialist is to facilitate the successful approval of an individual’s Medicaid application. The Medicaid Specialist will be expected to learn the federal, state and county eligibility guidelines for Medicaid long-term care benefits. The position requires detailed attention to project management as well as providing the best possible experience for the client.Key Responsibilities: The scope of the role is primarily focused around supporting clients through the complicated Medicaid application process. In this role you will:Responsible for strategic Medicaid eligibility planning and management of a caseload of 10-40 Applicants (depending on experience)Facilitate the onboarding of new clients by reviewing their Intake Questionnaire, completing financial calculations and conducting the client Intake callAssess the Applicant’s household and financial situation to identify the best path to eligibilityOversee all client requests and ensure that the client’s needs and questions are responded to in a timely mannerWork with the client, and other team members, to develop and implement a comprehensive eligibility strategyConduct state and county-specific research related to Medicaid application proceduresCollect required Medicaid documents from the client (pdfs, jpegs and other electronic files)Complete forms, draft documents, and submit required application paperworkSend and receive faxed documents electronicallySchedule appointments utilizing Google CalendarDelegate and manage tasks for the Administrative AssistantCommunicate directly with Medicaid agencies and caseworkersReceive and send “snail mail” using online mail servicesFollow company policies to ensure client information is transmitted securelyAttend weekly Medicaid team meetings to stay informed about processes and proceduresMay provide other tasks as neededQualifications: High school diploma or equivalent degree is requiredExperience and knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and long-term care benefits strongly preferredAbility to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficientlyExperience with understanding financial statements, financial assets, bank statements and work in Microsoft excel strongly preferredProfessional written and verbal skills are essential when communicating with clientsAbility to navigate in an Entrepreneurial environment with rapid growthAbility to work independently as a remote team member with previous remote work experience strongly preferredA resourceful and proactive problem solverAbility to work well with a team to promote company initiativesWhat we offer: Starting compensation $18/hour with advancement and growth opportunitiesCareer track to become a Certified Medicaid Planner™Paid time off9 company paid holidaysCompany contribution towards individual medical coverageFlexible schedule while working completely remotelyComprehensive training and continued educationComputer hardware providedEldercare Resource Planning, LLC is authorized to do business in many, but not all, states.
