Our new team member will be goal-oriented, highly accurate, efficient, revenue oriented and adept at critical thinking processes. We are willing to train the right person! If Medical Billing and Coding is something that you have always been interested in but haven’t known where to start, we will help you. You can learn on the job with us. We offer excellent benefits, including two weeks paid time off during the first year!Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Consistent follow-up on unpaid and denied claims utilizing aging reports, filing appeals as appropriate to ensure maximum reimbursement, posting insurance and patient payments, ensuring correct reimbursement and adherence to fee schedules, working patient A/R.Required SkillsComputer literacy is essentialFamiliarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding; familiarity with medical terminologyExcellent customer service skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage relationships and communicate effectively with our various insurance payers and their agentsPerform to company standards of compliance with policies and proceduresAbility to multi-task and work courteously and effectively with all fellow team members, vendors and patientsDemonstrated ability to see tasks to completion and meet deadlinesDetailed Work ActivitiesEnsure all claims are submitted with a goal of zero errorsVerifies completeness and accuracy of all claims prior to submissionAccurately post insurance payments by line itemTimely follow-up on insurance claim denials, exceptions or exclusionsMeet deadlinesReading and interpreting insurance explanation of benefits/payment (EOB/Ps)Utilize aging accounts receivable reports to follow-up on unpaid claims aged over 30 days as well as outstanding patient A/RMake necessary arrangements for medical records requests, completion of additional information requests, etc. as requested by insurance companiesTimely response to inquires from insurance companies, patients and providersRegularly meet with Management Team to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstaclesCommunicate effectively with other billing team members to ensure constant transfer of knowledge and learned issues.Attend all admin staff meetings and participate in continuing educational sessions as requestedPerform additional duties as requested by Management TeamWe offer excellent compensation and benefits to our Full-Time Team Members.
