REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing
We are seeking an experienced and driven Mobile & Digital Marketing Specialist to join our high-performing and collaborative consumer marketing team supporting our footprint of 700+ retail bookstore locations. This person will own the My College Bookstore mobile app which includes overseeing day-to-day mobile marketing strategy, acquisition programs, campaign execution and reporting. The role will also be responsible for creating engaging homepage content to drive customer conversion and lead our digital advertising channels such as paid search and paid social. The incumbent will collaborate with many internal and external teams to drive the business and support strategic initiatives, all while being an advocate for the consumer and ensuring the health and efficacy of the mobile marketing channel.
While this position’s location is listed in Basking Ridge, NJ, we will also consider candidates working remotely based on the East Coast only.
Serves as the mobile marketing thought leader in the organization that stays abreast of the latest mobile trends and opportunities to advance the program
Collaborates with cross-functional teams across the organization including consumer marketing, e-commerce, merchandising, store operations, digital student services, legal, and field management to collect relevant and accurate information for the execution of mobile marketing campaigns
Leads the development and execution of mobile marketing calendar and influence offer selection, messaging strategy and targeting
Develop and execute digital advertising campaigns, including paid search and paid social
Analyzes campaign results to make fact-based decisions on future planning to optimize performance
Analyze results to optimize performance of digital marketing channels
Supports the testing and development of new mobile capabilities including segmentation, personalization, recommendations, journeys, loyalty and creative improvements to drive retention efforts
Drives customer acquisition for mobile programs through various channels
Serves as main point of contact with mobile app agency and actively manages relationship
Manages homepage content for the bookstore websites which involves close collaboration with ecommerce and merchandise teams
Additional responsibilities as required
Strong understanding of mobile marketing fundamentals (app, SMS, wallet, etc.)
Excellent copy writing skills, design sense and intuition for what will perform
Experience with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Firebase and Datorama
Intermediate-advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task workstreams, work in a fast-paced environment and switch priorities as business needs change
Strong critical thinking skills: utilizing creative problem-solving skills, sound judgement and strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and collaborative work style
Organized, resourceful and results-driven; tenacity to get things done
