Purpose of Role
The Microsoft Office 365 Administrator will join our Service Delivery Operations function and help leverage our application capabilities across a variety of platforms. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure across the business and support a career in Office 365 administration and technical development. You will act as a subject matter expert for Office 365 technology stack by gathering requirements from key business stakeholders, helping create proof of concept designs, through to the implementation of solutions and handover to business as usual.
The successful candidate will work with the Collaboration Services team, to scope out potential Microsoft 365 development with a focus on automating and integrating Microsoft Teams, Team apps, SharePoint, and the Power Platform estate.
In order to be suitable for this role you must have proven Microsoft 365 experience with strong knowledge of Teams, Teams app, SharePoint, and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Virtual Agent). It is essential to have strong communication skills with a proven track record of understanding and analysing requirements as well as creating user documentation.
Principal Accountabilities
Maintain existing Microsoft 365 based solutions (SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBi, PowerVA, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Yammer etc) in line with business requirements and McLaren’s Office 365 governance.
To work with the businesses to identify where O365, Power Platform and SharePoint technologies can be used to improve business processes and solutions.
Help to adapt and develop M365, PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerBI, PowerVA, and SharePoint solutions through the design, build test lifecycle.
Help to drive the adoption, provide training and usage of Office 365 & SharePoint solutions.
Specify, enhance and develop documentation for standards conformance and best practices.
Proactively keep up to date with the changing evergreen technical landscape through training and knowledge sharing.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Microsoft technology stack experience such as: Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, Power Apps/BI/PowerAutomate/PowerVA etc.
Experience in SharePoint Migrations from SharePoint on-premise, File Shares to SharePoint Online using ShareGate.
Development experience such as: Powershell, JavaScript, SQL, CSOM, JSOM, PnP, API integrations, Modern SharePoint Framework, Microsoft Teams’ Apps Development
Good understanding about authentication, Office 365 security and compliance, Microsoft/Office Graph, Adaptive Card, and SharePoint Modern Pages/Web Parts preferred.
Experience supporting enterprise application deployments e.g. requirements gathering, testing, training, end user support.
Desire to develop into a technical / functional expert on Microsoft technologies.
Project management experience (Desirable).
Experience working within an ITIL framework (Desirable).
Collaborative approach and understanding the importance of knowledge sharing.
