Your Opportunity
You will be part of a dynamic team that attempts to transform cancer care outcomes in India through establishing a distributed managed cancer care network, supported by an end-to-end technology platform. You will be privileged to be part of the diverse team of renowned doctors, senior nurses, etc.
Your work will focus on providing professional nursing care and coordinating the delivery of oncology treatments in day care chemotherapy facilities and outpatient departments to assigned patients ensuring adherence to company policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices.
Your Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate day-care cancer treatment and supportive care and manage day-care chemotherapy service as part of a comprehensive cancer treatment plan for patients.
Administering medications including chemotherapy, blood, blood products and maintenance & care of Central and peripheral IV lines
Check the basic parameters like height, weight and vitals and record the same in the clinical notes.
Starting peripheral intravenous lines and Maintenance and care of Central, Peripheral Lines or chemo-ports including Assessing line site and patency regularly,
Blood and other sample collection for lab investigations. Administering medications including chemotherapy, fluid therapy.
Safely monitor patients throughout infusion therapy.
Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications.
Monitor the patient’s response to treatment throughout therapy
Managing supportive care
Manage basic life support needs and stabilizes based upon nursing standards and protocol.
Administration of blood and blood products as per physician’s advice after all required safety protocols.
Perform procedures like catheterization, Ryle’s tube insertion, simple dressing, and other clinical procedures. Assist physicians for other procedures as required.
Assisting patients with pain management, Counselling and education
Maintain all patient records as per Karkinos Protocol
May train and guide other nursing and support staff engaged in clinical activities; may participate in research and related activities.
Perform basic administrative and coordination tasks to manage the community oncology clinic
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualification : B.sc Nursing, with minimum 5 years of experience in Oncology.
Location : Ernakulam, Idukki (Kerala)
Remuneration: Commensurate with Qualification & Experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Knowledge of oncology treatment procedures, facilities, and equipment.
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
Knowledge of supportive care principles and techniques for oncology patients.
Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.
Knowledge of the nature and treatments of oncological diseases and of reactions and side effects of related therapy methods.
Patient assessment and referral skills.
Knowledge of counseling techniques
