Description : Personal Assistant (Part-time)Seeking responsible and reliable personal assistant to work with high functioning autistic young adult.Person must be active & energetic with a positive attitute. Must be an open & honest communicator with integrity, reliability, compassion, sensitivity, adaptability, flexibility and patience.Should enjoy enteracting with people and working on group projects.Job Duties:- Work with parent to prepare weekly schedule for client to work with various specialists and coaches.- Follow through on agreed upon tasks is a must!- Data collection is an integral part of the client’s program so family can chart client’s progress effectively.- Accompany client to social activities, meet up groups and other appointments.- Prepare breakfast, remind client to do daily household chores, assist client to track weekly budget, prepare and execute work in client’s career,keeping client up to date with personal and professional goals, assisting client to stay focused and gain confidence- Some areas of focus will be developing social skills, independent living skills, self care, etc.- Collaborate with team of specialists to help young adult achieve goals and progress towards independenceJob Requirements:- Must have experience in transitioning high-functioning autistic individuals into adulthood- Certified behavior assistant a plus- Training in applying strong adaptive skills with client is essential- Reliable car and clean driving record- Bachelor’s Degree minimum- Hours vary averaging 15-20 hrs a week with potential to work more if desired.- Salary negotiable based on experience- Background checks will be done prior to employmentJob Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible schedulePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payWork Location: One location
