Working closely with the Head of Department and other Portfolio Managers across the publishing division you will be responsible for streamlining the production process, ensuing the quality of typesetting operations and reaching our publication targets.Our offices are located in London, however remote working options are available for candidates across the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting into the Head of the Department to ensure the overall success of the journals portfolio and meet strategic goals.Recommend strategic plans and oversee their implementation for the portfolio development by streamlining the production process while ensuring high quality standards.Line manage a team of Production Managers, provide support and develop and recruit new members when necessary.Present the portfolio’s development to the Head of the Department and the Director of Publishing Operations and represent the company to external stakeholders.About YouEstablished experience in an editorial/production role within academic/STM publishing.Proven track record of delivering projects to targets and within deadlines.Solid experience with line management, leading and developing a team.A target driven mindset with a proactive attitude and a strong commercial awareness.Aptitude for digesting large amounts of information and reacting effectively to urgent situations.Ability to handle challenging conversations and communication in a diplomatic and constructive way.Sound and mature judgment; decisive and tactful when working with multiple stakeholders.Technical proficiency, with hands-on skills using current software.Excellence command of the English language (written and verbal).BenefitsWhat we OfferInternational environmentWith over 50 nationalities across seven locations around the world, we are certainly a diverse company.
