The Department of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Practice Manager to work on the UHealth Campus. The Practice Manager provides administrative direction and coordination to the formulation, interpretation, and administration of current and long-range policies, procedures, and programs of a single-specialty practice. The incumbent also assumes responsibility for the overall operations, development, and success of our medical practice. In this important role, the successful applicant acts as an information resource and ambassador to patients, physicians, staff, and the general public.
Manages and coordinates the activities of office and clinic personnel. Primary liaison between Credentialing, Medical Staff, Provider Enrollment, and the Division of Hospital Medicine.
Coordinates onboarding and offboarding of faculty and staff. Coordinates monthly faculty meetings and Hospital Medicine Grand Rounds.
Establishes effective interpersonal relationships with APRNs, MDs, Associate Medical Directors, Division Administrator and Chief to provide full circle administrative support to the Team and our Mission.
Assists Sr. Division Administrator with Divisional/Departmental Ad Hoc Projects and assignments.
Edits, Reviews, and Publishes Physician and APRN schedules in Qgenda while collaborating with Associate Medical Directors to ensure accuracy of scheduling templates.
Processes invoices and other procurement related tasks in Workday. Tracks and submits CME reimbursements.
Prepares monthly overloads for moonlighting assignments completed by faculty and staff.
Identifies and resolves IT issues within the Division and monitors effectiveness of cell phone pagers to prevent disruption in patient care.
Provides Administrative Support to the Chief and Sr Division Administrator. Provides back-up support to Sr. Administrative Assistant to include timely processing of Home Health orders, Death Certificates, PA coordination, and other misc. clerical tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of business and management principles.
Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
