We create fresh prepared foods in partnership with our leading retail and food service customers in Ireland/UK and around the world.We are currently searching for a Production Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience in managing within the food industry to develop their career in a fast growing organisation which has great career development.Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of production day to day whilst driving longer term improvements.Your key responsibilities will include:Responsible for the overall management of day-to-day production.Management of the General Operative team.Monitoring of production to ensure that the production remains cost effective.To drive the shift tasks to ensure that all targets are met.Ensuring all production paperwork is completed in a timely manner.Ensure delivery of customer expectations for quality and delivery.Provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to General Operatives to meet site goals and objectives.To ensure that shift operate a safe working environment and always adhere to safe working practice.Fully support all Health and safety initiatives.Ensure that all company rules, procedures, and policies whether written or unwritten are adhered to.Communicate effectively to the Factory Manager on any issues arising during the shiftTraining of all General operatives to the required standard for each operation in the processWork with the Human Resource Department to deal effectively with any people management related issues for direct reports including time keeping, absence and general work performance in line with company guidelines to ensure consistency.The Ideal Candidate:Production management or supervisory experience gained within a FMCG environmentExperience of implementing efficiency improvementsExperience of ensuring quality and safety policiesExcellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills, including the ability to recognise training and development needsExcellent understanding of the technical and quality aspects of food productionEvidence of strong organisational, planning and time management abilitiesProven ability to provide solutions and deliver results while working independently and on own initiativeReference ID: PM22Application deadline: 24/01/2022Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSchedule:12 hour shiftDay shiftNight shiftWork remotely:No
