About the team
Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager the role of Quality Assurance Specialist is to ensure the processing of BTL Mortgage applications adheres to Lendinvest´s policies and best practises.
You will be responsible for carrying out QA checks on case files at various stages of the origination process and composing QA reports on the results of your findings. These reports will detail trends, observations and training gaps which will be fed back to the Case Manager and Underwriting Team Leaders to action. You will be required to assist with training sessions on the matters raised to ensure the team are working efficiently using the information and technology.
You will have exceptional knowledge of our BTL process from Application to Completion and know our system and policy inside out.
About your role
Complete targeted quality sampling of pre offer and post offer cases
Maintain a high level understanding of lending policy and operational processes and procedures for all mortgage originations
To work closely with the Lending Operations Manager and Team Leaders providing timely feedback and clear and concise reports on any quality oversight completed, and identifying trends or learning gaps, where appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely records relating to all audit activities
The ability to identify process and technology improvements and engage with the tech team to feed back requirements
Support third party audit reviews, investigating any challenges raised and providing detailed and accurate information as required.
Proactively keep up to date with human resource policy, risk policies, external legislation, funding constraints, product criteria and underwriting criteria changes to ensure prudent underwriting
Be proactive with self development and be seen to strive to do things better
About you
Previous experience of new mortgage originations
Ability to analyse and interpret complex information and data, and provide supporting commentary on business quality
Close attention to detail
Able to demonstrate a good understanding of:
Credit Referencing Agency reports (personal and commercial)
KYC/AML/financial crime regulation
CIFAS/SIRA
Land Registry Reports
FCA register
RICS Valuations
Lendinvest standard Legal documentation
Excellent organisational skills
Problem solver and can do attitude
Approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player, whose behaviour demonstrates commitment to team goals
