What you will do in this role:
You must greet and direct visitors at the nurses’ station in a friendly and prompt manner.
Your primary function is to assist the Charge Registered Nurse by coordinating non-clinical activities on the nursing unit.
You are responsible for sending faxes, making copies, and ordering supplies for the unit.
You are responsible for organizing and taking apart a patient’s chart upon admission and discharge.
You are responsible for initiating the processing of physician’s orders and managing information flow among nursing staff, physicians, ancillary departments, patients and other unit guests.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma is preferred
Typing of at least 25 WPM preferred
Some Medical Terminology knowlegde preferred
