Description:
Performs quality assessment reviews ensuring proper, complete and accurate release of information adhering to hospital Disclosure of Medical Records Information policy, State and Federal laws, and HIPAA regulations regarding legal issues involving the release of patient health information. Follows protocol on medical records discrepancies prior to release.
Qualifications:
Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of Florida State and Federal laws, HIPAA regulations, and medical terminology. Ability to work in a highly focused customer service oriented setting with strong computer skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Must be attentive to the fine detail and a high volume performer. Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).Requires passing a basic Word/Excel test, typing 30 wpm and computer competency test. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Minimum Required Experience:
