Your Role and Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
IBM IBM AI Applications business unit is looking for a positive and collaborative software development leader to join in this exciting mission, on the IBM Sterling SCBN product. In this role, you will be the personnel manager for a 10-15 member team and is responsible for building a culture of high performance, trust, inclusivity and fun. You’ll closely collaborate with the wider development team to manage delivery of code to cater to the product’s roadmap needs. While you’re not responsible for resolving code defects directly, it’s expected that you have enough relevant technical experience to provide guidance to your team and help unblock progress. This is an exciting opportunity to learn at a low level how the industry leading Supply Chain products works and to learn from a large team of very talented engineers.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to :
Manage agile team and perform scrum master roleManage app development process based on agile methodologiesParticipate in requirements/user story identification and analysisManage stakeholder relationshipsCollaborate effectively with other team members, partners and other support functions when required
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Agile Expertise with minimum 3+ years of managing software development team and/or leading agile teams as a scrum master
At least 10 years of relevant Industry Experience
Familiarity with various EDI Standards like ANSI, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS etc.,
Experience with source control management tools (GitHub, Jenkins) and with Agile Life Cycle Management tools (Jira, Zenhub)
Self-motivated towards meeting agreed goals
Teamwork at highest levels
Mentors team on technical initiatives and IP creation
Promotes, reinforces and models behaviors that strengthen entrepreneurial spirit, radical candor, and growth mindset.
Expertise in at least one programming language: Java, Python or JavaScript
Exposure to SQL / NoSQL database technologies including Mongo, DB2 and Oracle
Exposure to Kubernetes & Open Shift
Strong Communication and Soft skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of people management and technical leadership
Development Process management – managed atleast couple of end to end deliverable lifecycle.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
ScrumMaster & Technical Leadership
Java/JavaScript
Provide work effort and time estimates for software development work needed to deliver functional designs.
Preferred experience of having knowledge with EDI software infrastructure
Act as a liaison between team, partners and stakeholders.
