Job Overview
This role is a part of the Enterprise Capabilities team within the Digital & Technology Solutions Development Organization. The Enterprise Capabilities global initiatives focus on process transformation and further implementation of ServiceNow to modernize systems and automate processes. Expectations of this Sr. Consultant role is to support the ServiceNow platform as a whole applying best practices, consulting with functional teams, drive governance and GMI policy across the platform, hold a leadership role in integrations and ensure tech health, upgrades, and change control is monitored and are managed appropriately for an enterprise application at General Mills.
Job Responsibilities
40% of TimeWorks with Architect to develop platform strategies, principals, and RACI frameworkCaptures project, platform and architectural requirements and develops solutions accordinglyOwns the relationship with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, model, and document business, process, and data requirements
Represents project stakeholders throughout planning, development, and release processes
Leads the platform team to develop estimates, prioritize & assign stories into sprints and ensure stakeholders communication takes place
Works with stakeholders to drive adoption of platform standards and platform principalsOwns change control meetings and processCompletes code reviews for new moves to production to ensure no platform impact and platform principals and best practices are followed
60% of TimeFor platform scope work, ensures requirements are understood, developed, tested, and delivered to specification Designs, develops, configures, and customizes (when necessary) ServiceNow applications and services
Manages upgrades across the ServiceNow landscape; owns platform upgrade scopeManages the delivery of, or delivers new functionality across applications including but not limited to:
o Security development/ACLs
o Integration development
o Portal development
o Mobile Development
o Patch communication
o Platform Hardening work
HI Tickets management/ownershipResponsible for day to day operational support of Platform operations and ensures system health and sustainability
Provides configuration and development assistance to developers
Develops documentation and training guidelines supporting system or processes changesAssist in communicating system or process changes to users with varying technical knowledgeAdvocate and influence ServiceNow solutions and inform on new trends and technologies
Desired Profile
Education
Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
Preferred Major Area of Study: Computer Science / MIS or equivalent
Required Professional Certifications: Current Service Now certifications, Implementation Fundamentals, etc.
Preferred Professional Certifications: HR Fundamentals, Advanced Portal
Experience
Minimum years of related experience required: 4 – 5 years
Preferred years of related experience: 6 – 7 years
Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed
Qualifications
Total IT experience of 6-8 years working within a large enterprise on implementation initiatives
Minimum 4 years of experience in configuring ServiceNow modules (HR or ITSM preferred), implementing 3rd party integrations and building custom forms and workflows
Minimum 4 years in acting as Developer in a mid-size ServiceNow implementationAbility to understand detailed & complex busines requirements and ServiceNow solutions and propose ServiceNow platform capabilities when/where appropriateGood interpersonal skills including explaining technical challenges to a business client/customer successfully
Results oriented with a track record of accomplishments and ability to problem solve and overcome challengesHigh integrity, sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential informationAbility to think proactively and manage multiple prioritiesHigh initiative, curiosity, and passion for improving business systems and processesStrong technical knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including all Platform capabilities and scoped app capabilities including HR, ITSM, Asset Management and App EngineGood understanding of, and experience in, JavaScript / HTML / CSS / AJAX/ Angular / Bootstrap / Jelly Script / SQLClient Side and Server Side Scripting
