Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Managed Security Services (MSS) is a high growth business within IBM. MSS is recognized by Gartner, Forester and other consulting firms as the clear leader in Managed Security Services products and services. As a software developer with MSS, you would be joining an exciting growth business with IBM that is a model for Innovation that Matters.
In support of this, IBM MSS is seeking software engineers who are passionate about Front End development, Backend development, Platform Development, DevOps, and Continuous Integration. Successful candidates should be Collaborators, willing to learn and more importantly adopt best practices, an Agile practitioner with a willingness to jump in and figure out complex technical problems, with a focus on delivering results.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5-12 years of experience:
Fluency in spoken and written English
Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Sass, React, Node.js, Express, REST, JSON
Agile software development and test automation experience
Developing reusable software/framework based products dealing with scalability, availability, reliability, testability
Proven ability to deliver software that meets functional and non-functional requirements, quality metrics and validating test cases for incorporation into MSS Platform and Applications.
Ability to learn new technologies and processes and quickly apply them to the overall development effort.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
3 – 5 years of experience:
Microservices, Swagger, Carbon Components, Next.js or Create React App, GitHub, Jenkins, unit testing (jest, mocha, enzyme), e2e testing (Cypress, Selenium WebDriver)
GitOps Flux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, IBM Cloud, CouchDB, HashiCorp Vault, IBM Cloud Paks, Sonar
