Description and Requirements
The software engineer will join the Motorola Experiences team based in Bangalore, India. The experience group at Motorola leads development of some of the signature novel experiences on Motorola phones and devices. They include the widely-acclaimed Edge Touch, Moto Gametime, Motorola Voice, Moto Display & Moto Actions. All these unique experiences rest on Moto innovated hardware enablers and software enablers. These are experiences that not only fill key user needs but point the way to new directions in the development of mobile computing, across all of the user’s devices, whether they be PCs, laptops, or phones. The group uses a wide spectrum of technologies to develop applications that, in general, span the device as well as the cloud. Technologies used include Android frameworks and Android app development ; a range of web application models, frameworks and tools; context-based signals, algorithms and applications; machine learning and audio/voice processing; data analytics and visualisation; and the Google Cloud platform. Job Responsibilities: 1. Architect and build Android App & Framework for global Android smart phone devices of Motorola. 2. Build system to get early feedback from customers using beta channel. 3. Build image with advanced graphical effects, e.g 2D Scene Parallax,3D scene. 4. Generating abstract images using procedural algorithms from papers. 5. Collaboration with product managers, other teams, and both internal and external stakeholders, owning a large part of the process from problem understanding to shipping the solution. 6. Drive improvement of technologies enhancing quality, performance, and experiences. 7. Create innovative new experiences that will delight users. 1. Bachelor degree or above in CS, CE, Mathematics or related engineering discipline. 2. 5+ years demonstrated industry experience developing and shipping apps with the Android platform. 3. Extensive understanding of Android framework components and their lifecycles, sharp Android development skills (Fragments, Animation, Performance, Memory, etc.) 4. Knowledge of Google cloud platform and Machine learning. 5. Knowledge of generating 2D and 3D content using OpenGL and applying advanced graphical techniques. 6. A constant desire to improve, learn more and take our team to the next level.
