Description : We’re seeking to hire a Surgery Scheduler for our Cardiology practice in the San Gabriel Valley. The Surgery Scheduler is in charge of scheduling of surgeries, taking into consideration the desired date, priority of surgery, length of surgery, and effectively communicate surgeries with patients. This is a temporary position, for a maternity leave coverage, but could go long-term depending on needs.Some details regarding the Surgery Scheduler position: Based in Arcadia, CAPayrate is $18/hr. startingBenefits upon reaching eligibility after employee orientation period, such as 401(k), Medical, Vision, Dental, Paid Holidays, etc.The Surgery Scheduler job responsibilities are: Creates surgery checklists, the surgery schedulesVerifies patient insurances and calculates patient’s portion of paymentManage incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails regarding surgeriesPrepares charts and reviews surgery paperwork in detail for accuracy and completionSubmits surgery schedule and paperwork to the doctor performing the surgery for final reviewContacts patient in regard to missing information, payment, provides instructions, and advice on surgery arrival timeCopy and submits all necessary documents to Ambulatory Surgical Center in a timely manner prior to surgery dateChecks electronic health record for upcoming patient appointments and pull charts for all future appointments including surgery appointmentsExamine insurance cards carefully to verify and confirm proper coverage through insurance verificationsSchedule appointments and enter data into scheduling systemFollow-up with patients using the appointment confirmation system or making direct callsThe Surgery Scheduler job requirements are: Must have 1+ year surgery scheduling experienceCardiology Surgery experience preferred (but not required)High school diplomaIf interested in the Surgery Scheduler position, please apply today for your chance to interview for this exciting opportunity.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
