As the CSC Senior Vice President of the Wash Dry Fold (WDF) business, you’ll be an important part of launching a NEW business venture!!
Position Summary
The Senior Vice President will be responsible for building off CSC’s existing platform, infrastructure, and relationships, as CSC deliberately moves into the high growth “wash-dry-fold” vertical where consumers receive the ultimate in convenience and service – having their laundry done for them and at an affordable price point. Our clients see tremendous value in this new amenity and the positive impact it has on their students and residents who lead very busy lives. These days, people want to save time, especially when it comes to tasks like laundry. Over the past year we have designed and piloted the “Wash-Dry-Fold” model with success and plan to expand and grow this business rapidly. Our pursuit of wash-dry-fold is rooted in meeting consumer demand and doing so with a winning business model that leverages our existing fixed assets. Recently, the company took steps to strengthen this expanded offering with two recent technology acquisitions:
One Tap Away (OTA) is a developer of next-gen technology that serves multifamily housing, unlocking new smart amenities for properties and their residents. OTA takes the things residents and building owners care about most and brings them together in an easy-to-use app. These amenities range from Wash & Fold service to laundry room access control.
The Laundry Chute (TLC) provides an app-based laundry service for students on college campuses that utilizes “automated smart lockers” to enable full-service laundry processing with autonomous drop-off and pick-up. They use a “peer-to-peer” labor model where students work for students, much like Uber, Door Dash, and other gig economy platforms.
Essential Functions as an Executive Leader in The Organization
Set the commercial strategy for the WDF business. Build the annual growth plan to achieve business unit goals.
Develop the Technology and Product roadmap to execute the growth plans and drive consumer adoption across market.
Build and deploy the technology, processes, and engagement needed to build a pipeline of gig workers to support the operational deployment of the business plan.
Create a consistent operating model to support the WDF business agnostic to location across the CSC network.
Ensure WDF sales and EBITDA goals are achieved.
Direct the local execution of the Company’s WDF strategic initiatives.
Create annual goals and budgets. Monitor and report throughout the year.
Contribute to the Company strategy through the development of specific operational plans related to the WDF business.
Support continual improvement in operational effectiveness and customer service.
Continue to develop, refine, and evolve CSC’s platform strategy and roadmap.
Researches, evaluates, prioritizes, prototypes, and helps scale new offerings to grow CSC’s platform model.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field; Master’s Degree preferred; or 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Leadership experience managing large and diverse teams in a consumer-based business, preferably bringing a digital based business to market with realized revenue of at least $30,000,000.
Experience in scaling digital businesses and in-depth understanding of platform business models and digital service offerings
Ability to define strategic vision and plans for growing businesses
Ability to understand, drive and interpret market research, financial models and statements, business plans, digital product specifications
Ability to read, analyze and provide feedback on technology product offering specifications and development plans
Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or Boards of Directors
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
