We are currently recruiting full, part time and bank (Casual) Support Workers/Care Assistants to work in our self-contained adult residential services in Crowthorne Berkshire RG45, 6BQ.Our Ravenswood Village site is made up of thirteen different care homes set in the countryside, along with an activity centre, a hydrotherapy pool and a horse-riding centre, so there’s always a job that you’ll love.Our team provide support to individuals with a diverse range of needs, from low level support including supervision/prompting with medication, domestic tasks and shopping right through to full support with all aspects of day to day living. This may include supporting someone with their personal care needs (bathing/toileting/dressing), cooking and preparing of meals and accessing their local community.Some of the people we support have complex needs meaning that some people have difficulty in communicating their needs and may require the use of signs/symbols or pictures to communicate with.Here at Norwood, we look to recruit people who have never worked in Social care before as well as people who can being a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role of being a Support Worker.For people who don’t have experience in social care we require the following skills;Customer service skillsA willingness to learnUnderstanding of the needs of othersPatienceMost importantly you must want to assist the people we support by enabling them to live as independently as possible.BECOMING PART OF THE NORWOOD COMMUNITY BRINGS BENEFITS TOO!!PAY: £9.18 – £10.25 per hour dependent on experienceFully paid induction WE PAY FOR YOUR DBSPensionOpportunity for overtime and increase in hours depending on availabilityPaid induction and ongoing coaching and support from your operations managerEye Care VouchersCycle to work schemeHealthcare Cash PlanNVQ Level 2-5 Health & Social Care QualificationMandatory vaccines in care homes have now been approved and have become a requirement from 11th November 2021.
