Your Team:
You will be joining a growing team of landing page specialists who will handle development of marketing landing pages for the entire New York Times product portfolio, covering direct acquisition, brand, gifting and occasionally retention or product needs. We’re held to a high standard of operational excellence which we strive to meet by building a collaborative and supportive team environment – always looking for ways to work smarter. The Role:
You will be responsible for developing and deploying landing pages in our CMS Magnolia. An ideal candidate is deeply familiar with HTML, CSS, React and JavaScript best practices for targeted experiences. You will have had prior experience in front-end web development , and be ready to jump into new projects. The most successful candidate is innovative, efficient and able to work effectively with peers and stakeholders with a constant focus on improvement. You will report to the Manager of the Landing Pages.
Responsibilities:
Code and deploy landing pages in our CMS Magnolia to spec, using CSS, HTML and React JS
Maintain best practices for landing pages, and make recommendations
Ability to complete projects effectively, and proactively manage inventory
Troubleshoot and debug, sometimes collaboratively to resolve coding and trafficking issues
Analyze early post-launch activities, and resolve any performance problems related to setup or technical issues
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years experience in front-end development
Ability to hand-code responsive landing pages using HTML, CSS, React JS
Basic knowledge of design tools like Adobe Photoshop / Figma (capable of converting PSDs to pixel-perfect HTML/CSS)
Familiarity with website content management systems such as Magnolia, Optimizely, BlueKai, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of creative A/B testing, media formats and internet technologies
Familiarity with version control software, such as GitHub
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of inventory and delivery process, third-party ad tags, rich media concepts
Prior experience leading UX/UI projects, particularly on website projects
Knowledge of backend language as Python or PHP
