Description : Full-time Workforce Development ManagerAbout Minnesota Tech for SuccessMTFS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that creates digital equity for students in need by partnering with schools and educational organizations to provide technology access, engaging STEM programming, and IT workforce development in underserved communities.Reports to: Executive DirectorPosition DescriptionWe are looking for a Workforce Development Manager to lead our youth and adult computer training program. In this position, you will oversee the production of high-quality training offerings and curriculum that prepares individuals from underserved communities for careers in the IT field and builds brand recognition. Your main duties will include developing and maintaining partnerships in the community to implement technology training, manage youth and adult programs, curriculum development, manage instructors and navigator.Reporting to the Executive Director, you will make sure our training programs are both on-brand and effective, bringing the Minnesota Tech for Success mission and impact to life through your work.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain partnerships with organizations to implement technology trainings and technology internship opportunitiesManage youth and adult computer training programs (CORE: IT) held virtually and/or at training partner sites across the Twin Cities metro areaManage Instructors, 2 NavigatorsCurriculum design and development for youth and adult programs. Youth Tech Exploration: learning to code game/web/app design. CORE: IT for adults – Discover IT. Course portfolio includes Google IT Support, Google IT Automation with Python, CISCO IT Essentials, CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, and HTML5 & CSS web design certification courses.All courses aim to prepare participants with job readiness skills for entry level IT jobs.Manage current community partners and establish new existing partnerships with technology training sites.Coordinate/Lead/Attend meetings with Partners, Trainers, and MTFS StaffWork with MTFS staff and partner staff to coordinate program delivery, processes, and logistics.Manage CORE: IT program budget.Assist with grant proposal and review for CORE: IT program.Coordinate with the Technical Program Manager responsible for developing internships, recruiting interns from training programs, coaching interns, communicating with internship supervisors, and tracking intern progress.Maintain up to date records of all training and program participants.Oversee IT instructors in the development of supplemental material to aid in teaching computer curriculum.Key QualificationsProgram management experience, minimum of three years preferredAbility to solicit, collect, manage, and report data using spreadsheet softwareAbility to create or utilize existing connections with local companies and organizations with technology needs that will potentially be able to provide work experience in the technology field.Experience in program and curriculum development.Experience with youth & young adults from underserved communities.State of Minnesota grant opportunities.Data entry and Case Management via Workforce One.Microsoft Office 365 platform – SharePoint, Forms, Sway, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred4-year BA/BS degreeStrong interpersonal skills and work ethicPass background checkStrong background in personal computers and technologyExperience working with diverse populations, cultural awareness, and cultural competencySalary and HoursSalary range depends on experience and qualifications.
