Kinnick Medical Ltd. has an immediate opening for a full or part-time Medical Assistant in Oakbrook, IL. You will gain a unique professional business experience working directly in a busy orthopedic and sports medicine practice. This position will work directly with patients, nurses, surgery schedulers and the practice administrator. This critical role will allow you to gain the skill of running a piece of the ancillary business inside the practice. You may also have satellite locations that you will be managing which may include minimal local travel. You will be the go-to person for all ancillary service items under your supervision.Company information:Kinnick Medical is a growing Chicago based company that provides management and administration of ancillary services and durable medical equipment (DME) to orthopedic practices.Position Summary: Kinnick Medical is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant. The position is a trained member of the physician’s team, who works with all health care professionals and staff to deliver high quality patient care. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a number of pre/post operative DME products, urine toxicology screening program and other ancillary services.Position Duties: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Provide fitting, patient education on application, use, care, and expected outcome for products as indicated by the physician instructions and manufacturer recommendationsInsure that all necessary documentation and authorization is obtained as it relates to payer requirementsTrack, maintain, and order inventory for the locationActively promote and foster good relations inter-departmentallyPreferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience: Excellent skills in verbal and written communicationJudgment, decision making, and time management skillsAbility to organize multiple projects and assignments at onceCompetencies: Communication ProficiencyEthical ConductOrganizational SkillsTime ManagementThoroughnessPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work: There is part-time and full-time positions available.
