Description : Sibcas Ltd is a family-owned Company leading in the manufacture, hire and sale of portable and modular accommodation throughout the UK.Accounts AssistantCompetitive salary dependent on qualifications & experienceDue to the continued growth of the Company, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Accounts Assistant based at our Head Office in Bathgate, supporting the wider Finance team including senior management. Your duties and responsibilities will be varied on a day-to-day basis and would include but not be limited to tasks including:Assist the Purchase Ledger clerk with all accounts payable-related tasks, such as:Match invoices and proof of delivery notes and action any discrepanciesObtain credit notes from suppliers/contractors where invoices are incorrectProcess suppliers/subcontractor invoices on a timely and accurate basis correctly accounting for VAT and sub-contractors taxDealing with supplier/subcontractor queriesProcessing payment runs and ensure full audit trail is followedComplete bank reconciliations at the end of each monthManage Company’s direct debitsLiaise with procurement department and financial directorPetty cash analysisAssist the Credit Control clerk with accounts receivable-related tasks, such as:Phoning and emailing customers requesting payment datesUpdate the credit control system with call/email log information· Assist the Sales Invoicing clerk with tasks, such as:Process outgoing invoices daily including specials, toilets, job cards, damagesProcess paperwork from depotsCheck invoices and email outAssist with month end where requiredChase depots for required paperworkValuationsGeneral administration tasks, such as:Process morning and evening mailMaster card receipt reconciliationAnswer incoming calls from customers and employeesKeep filing up to dateAs you will be working within a small team, to undertake such other duties, appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department.The Successful CandidateAccounts/Finance relevant experienceComputer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packagesExcellent oral and written communication skillsGood organisational skills with the ability to manage time wellKeen to learn new tasks and take on responsibilityAbility to work in a busy environmentSelf-motivated & enthusiasticFlexible attitude towards workWe will encourage you to develop new skills and expand your opportunities within the Company.In return you will receive:Competitive pay30 days annual leave, including public holidaysDiscounted gym membership with local provider XciteDeath in service insuranceCritical health insurance after 2 years serviceExclusive access to the Company’s Employee Assistance ProgrammeThe hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 with a 1-hour lunch break.To apply for the above position, please apply online or alternatively, send your CV to: Human Resource Department, Sibcas Ltd, Easton Road, Bathgate, West Lothian, EH48 2SF.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company pensionGym membershipLife insuranceOn-site parkingSick paySchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:Accounting: 2 years (required)Administrative: 2 years (required)
