Description : Responsibilities include teaching Gaming for the Computer Information System Technology Department. Classes scheduled during the day or evenings depending on enrollment and may have to travel to multiple campuses.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Game Development, Application Programming, Computer Science or related discipline OR
Associate Degree in Game Development, Application Programming, Computer Science or related discipline and three years’ work experience in the area of assigned instruction.
Required Skills & Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills.Basic computer skills.Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegialityMicrosoft Office proficient.Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiencesAbility to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of online delivery methods, principles and techniques.Industry Certifications in: Adobe Illustrator, Java, or other related certifications
Required Experience
Three years’ current gaming or programming experience. Note: May be waived for individuals with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the discipline.
Experience with programming languages such as: Java, C#, Maya, Unity, iOS, Android and Microsoft app development
Preferred Experience
4+ years’ related work experience
Community College and or Public School teaching experience.
Online curriculum development and online teaching experience.
