Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust are delighted to welcome applications for an Advanced Lived Experience Development Lead Post to support with the development of our personality disorder and complex trauma pathway.
It’s an exciting time to be joining our Trust as we embark upon transformation of Community Mental Health Services. As part of this transformation, we are developing new pathways to improve services currently offered to people with complex emotional needs associated with a personality disorder and complex trauma. Along with our stakeholders we will be working to make sure everyone experiencing a mental health difficultygets the access, support and respect they deserve. This can only happen through co-production and building a dedicated workforce of people with lived experience establishing a sustained positive culture.
We already have a well-established Recovery College with all staff having lived and life experience as well as relevant educational expertise. We have also recently appointed peer support workers to work in other services within the organisation.

To Participate in and Support the ongoing development and delivery of the Trust’s Peer Support and Lived Experience Practice provision.
Promote positive understanding, awareness, positive attitudes and compassion towards mental health and especially ‘personality disorder’ or complex emotional needs as part of day-to-day duties.
To lead and develop the PRW (Peer Recovery Worker) pathways/roles within community mental health. This will also involve providing high quality lived-experience specific supervision, CPD opportunities and supporting community managers with line management responsibilities.
To work in collaboration with the Recovery and Wellbeing College. To promote, develop and embed the principles of recovery orientated practice across the organisation.
To work in collaboration with local skills and training team and the Recovery & Wellbeing Academy with developing strategy around the delivery of trauma informed and personality disorder training. Provide advice and consultation to the training team.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, resourceful and committed to the transformation of community mental health services.
Subject to Parliamentary approval, from 1st April 2022 all NHS workers in England who have face to face contact with patients must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
