The Sr. QA Analyst will work side by side with development and business partners to determine optimal test coverage and ensure high quality software is delivered to our customers. They will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the testing effort for a variety of projects across multiple lines of business and technology platforms. The Sr. QA Analyst is expected to learn the business and technical components of an application to appropriately communicate risk and status to senior project management and executives. Work with their peers across the organization to drive test efficiencies, improve frameworks, and enhance the enterprise testing process. You will be required to oversee all aspects of software and product testing within the company. This may include developing test strategies, drawing up test documents, identifying faults, and reviewing QA reports. Responsibilities*
Designs, develops and performs manual software tests, test plans and test cases on Agilent products to meet quality objectives in conformance with customer requirements and required standards and regulations.
Performs analysis of test results and tracks/reports risk levels during test execution. Responsible for diagnosing software/hardware/data interface problems and ensuring system integration.
Documents test results, including deviations and defects, for follow-up and modification of products.
Collaborates with peer engineers, architects and development engineers to address issues and resolve problems.
Will direct the work with offshore counterparts, product partners, etc. to meet contract specified deliverables.
May review and approve peer test results. May produce and execute the Software Quality Plan to ensure Agilent’s quality metrics are met.
Identify issues, facilitate review of those issues with leads, and execute defect management as appropriate.
Prepare Test Metrics, Test Results, Ad-Hoc reports that show the progress of testing and the result of all tests.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle and recommend/facilitate quality improvement efforts.
Required Skills*
5+ years of proven software testing experience.
Strong experience within the Agile Methodology working in JIRA, (SCRUM/Kanban) software development methodologies and testing framework.
5+ years of UI and Backend/database testing experience required and candidate should have the ability to write SQL scripts to analyze data and perform specific data queries.
Deep understanding of the software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting).
Strong knowledge of tools such as HP ALM/Quality Center, JIRA, and Rally.
Proven ability to work on testing projects of all sizes and proven experience driving issue resolutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills interact across all levels from junior members to senior management.
Coordination skills and ability to work seamlessly with geographically dispersed teams.
Adaptive, flexible and comfortable working in a matrix environment as a Sr. team member or an individual contributor.
May maintain test environments/data to be used with test automation.
2- 4 years Prior experience in Automation testing (QTP/UFT/Selenium/TOSCA) specifically, the candidate will develop, enhance, update and maintain suites of automated test scripts for regression testing of applications.
Participates in the design and planning of automation for applications. Identifies test scenarios to automate including: critical path, high risk functionality, tests prone to human error, tests that require multiple data sets, tests that take more time to perform manually and tests that are repetitive.
Desired Skills
BA/BS degree with 5+ years of directly related experience.
Experience with developing both automated and manual tests automated solutions.
Domain knowledge of banking and financial applications.
