Responsibilities
The Back Office Coordinator performs one or more assigned functions critical to the success of the Organization’s location(s) virtually including intake, health information data entry, medical records, and/or scheduling. Contributes to the organizational success of providing high quality care by effectively coordinating location(s) office functions supporting patients, caregivers and employees. In addition, the virtual Back Office Coordinator has a larger scope and impact and is responsible for all assigned workflow for designated locations, with assignments based on the needs of the Organization.
Qualifications
Minimum:
One year recent experience in performing administrative duties using an electronic medical record. Two years customer service experience in a health care setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work and communicate with diverse groups of people. Ability to organize work in an environment with multiple demands and frequent interruptions. Computer experience, familiar with multiple software programs.
Preferred:
Six months of scheduling experience. Experience in a Home Health or Home Hospice setting. Experience with Homecare Homebase system.
Understands medical terminology.
