About the role
We are currently looking for a Business Development Associate who is a relationship-builder, strategic thinker, and initiator and will identify, manage and advance new partnership opportunities on behalf of Affect Therapeutics. This role will support a variety of prospect-facing and internal business development activities in effort to close new payor contracts and will report to the Head of Business Development. Some examples of work you will take on over the next 6-12 months:
You will collaborate to develop unique strategic approaches for new payor and strategic partner opportunities based on their unique characteristics (e.g. geographic reach, plan type, etc.)
You will incorporate key themes and strategies into prospect-specific business development-related material, including presentations, proposals, and contracts.
You will schedule, support, and participate in meetings with strategic prospects.
You will conduct market research to identify partnership opportunities and help internal teams monitor the competitive landscape.
You will collaborate with Operations, Clinical and other Business Development team members to ensure efficient and timely launch of partnership implementations.
You will identify and execute on opportunities to expedite long, consultative sales cycles.
You will collaborate with Marketing and other Business Development team members to organize and maintain Affect’s CRM, enabling comprehensive prospect reporting and marketing campaigns.
About You
You are a strategic thinker, able to recognize unique value-drivers for a wide range of healthcare organizations with varying characteristics and priorities.
You’re familiar with healthcare industry dynamics and what matters to key stakeholders like patients, payers, providers, etc.
You’re excited about working at an early stage company.
You are an excellent written and oral communicator who is able to convey value-drivers and key takeaways clearly and concisely.
You’re highly organized and able to manage multiple prospect opportunities at once, while maintaining attention to detail.
You have a strong handle of Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
