Within the home, there is also a purpose built cinema room, on-site hairdressing facilities and a café area.Gower Gardens are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant. The main purpose of the role is to work as an integral part of the care team; delivering the highest standards of personalised care to residents, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect; dignity and that independence and choice are promoted within a safe and caring environment.Specific tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:Providing high quality personal careAssistance at meal timesManual handling, using equipment safely and correctly (hoists) where requiredInteraction with residentsMaintaining a safe, clean and friendly environmentPromoting health and well-being of the residentsSkills and Experience required if you want to become our Care Assistant:Must be able to work bank holidays and weekendsThe post holder will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure check and a six month probation periodAll staff will expected to follow our 4 values – Integrity, Positivity, Quality and RespectIdeally, you will have experience of working in a residential care home environment but it is not essential as full training is provided.From the 11th November 2021 it will be a requirement for all Care home employees to have received two COVID vaccinations.
