The Job Opportunity
Carry out allocated planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and remedial repairs on building services particularly on Water cooled or Air-cooled chillers, Cooling Tower, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) assets and associated controls. Ensure quality of maintenance and repair services and safe working practices are paramount in carrying out the duties.
Key accountabilities
Competent to operate water cooled & Air-cooled chillers, cooling towers and provide readings & reports on daily basis.
Thorough knowledge of the working principle of Centrifugal, Screw and reciprocating Compressors.
Maintain condenser water loops and cooling towers to sustain proper water flow as per the design.
Monitoring of power consumption from each part of the chiller plant, supply/return temperatures from the chiller and cooling tower, water flow rates from the condenser water loop, etc.
To carry out Planned, Reactive & Corrective Maintenance Task. Ensure tasks are completed within the required response time based on priorities. Execute PPM tasks as per the schedules and frequencies. Submit the daily reports to the supervisor. Monitor the spare parts, tools, and equipment required to execute the maintenance work. Communicate with supervisors in case of a major breakdown, Emergency tasks, abnormal readings, or issues in the water-cooled chillers
Ensure using/ implement CAFMS (Computerized Analysis Facility Management System) to maintain entire daily activities and record database of all maintenance to provide comprehensive status of Open, Close& pending daily works.
What we are looking for in our candidates: Good level of the English language both written and spoken. Able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player. Flexibility, excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key issues. Able to work under stringent deadlines and high-pressure environment.
Specific requirements Minimum four (4) years of experience in the Middle East with advanced knowledge in Water cooled and Air-cooled chillers, centrifugal chiller, Cooling Tower, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) assets and associated controls. HVAC air handling and air movement systems in a commercial buildings or hospital or other facilities management building services with engineering environment. Six Sigma certification is a preference (yellow belt/green belt/black belt). Technical and safety awareness with a clear understanding of electrical safety, permit to works, processes, procedures, use of power tools and associated test equipment. Proficient and able to demonstrate a complete understanding of HVAC planned maintenance and repair services. Ideally a holder of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or have a Vocational training certificate and a full technical understanding of HVAC systems and associated equipment and controls. Minimum holder of a ITI or Diploma.
