Our client is an award-winning learning and development business, working with brilliant clients internationally. In 2018 they created A Life In A Day (ALIAD) for the global healthcare sector and since then the programme has doubled the company’s revenue. We’ve developed our own multi award-winning interactive app, which combines with live, real-time interaction to lead participants through a challenging day of immersive experiences designed to create deep understanding and empathy for a range of life-limiting health conditions.
They pride themselves on being a friendly and approachable team – their core values are Be Kind, Be Sharp, Be Ahead. They have been a fully remote company since 2016 and the current team of 20 staff work from their home offices across the UK.
They are looking for a talented and experienced Creative Director to manage the A Life In a Day (ALIAD) creative team to build ALIAD experiences across multiple accounts. It is a hugely rewarding role. Your innovative work will help change the way in which patients are viewed and treated by the pharma and healthcare sectors.
What’s on Offer?
Highly Competitive Salary £60,000 – £80,000 based on experience.
Remote Working – with occasional travel into London as the business requires.
Company laptop and direct phone line for business usage (accessible via laptop).

28 days holiday including public holidays & up to 10 days paid sick leave.
Key Responsibilities of the Creative Director:
The Creative Director is responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the ALIAD creative team and for the continued development of our portfolio of programmes.
Responsibility for the full life cycle of each new ALIAD programme – from concept to delivery.
Responsibility for the creative philosophy, the creative process and the standard of output across the department.
Hiring, developing, and managing the creative team, providing an inspiring and motivating role model, guiding and mentoring team members as necessary.
Supervising workflow and effectively managing the allocation of resources across multiple projects; taking part in the generation and development of ideas, research, and script creation as necessary.
Working with clients – identifying strategic client relationships, helping to pitch new ideas and then defining and managing expectations throughout product development.
Generating content about our products and services to be used in marketing and social media
Advocating the value of the ALIAD experience by building relationships and promoting the organisation with tenacity and passion.
Influence strategy and contribute to strategic planning.
You will be part of a small senior Leadership team with 4 direct reports. There is the potential to grow and develop the creative team in the future.
Skills & Experience Required:
This is a senior role for creative thinkers and proven leaders.
Several years’ experience at Creative Lead or Creative Director level with proven track record of delivering complex briefs in a range of mediums
Proven supervisory experience, including leadership, team building, delegation, and mentoring
Inspiring portfolio of work
Proven ability to communicate with developers / IT to achieve tech innovations; app creation experience would be an advantage.
Proven experience in presenting to and working with clients
Suitable experience will likely have been gained in gaming, immersive experiences, events, theatre, film, or TV
You should also have exceptional communication skills, the ability and willingness to get your hands dirty, be involved and able to guide people at all levels and possess the ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders – clients, team, and board.
You will be level-headed, calm under pressure with a good sense of humour, have strong commitment to seeing projects through, be collaborative with great attention to detail and the willingness to network and promote ALIAD.
Industry experience in healthcare or pharma would be an advantage, but is not essential
