About the role:
A 12 month fixed term/full time position has arisen within the Cytogenetics department of TDL/HSL for applicants with technical and/or analytical cytogenetic experience.
This position is offered within the constitutional section which performs G-band chromosome analysis, FISH and Microarrays on a range of sample types including; postnatal bloods, fetal bloods, amniocentesis, CVS, product of conception and stem cells.
You would work alongside a team of scientists from the NHS, private, Constitutional, Oncogenomics and research backgrounds with a broad range of experience and dedicated to providing a high quality and innovative service where the patient always comes first.
Requirements for the post include; the ability to work as part of a team, follow standard procedures, the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, adaptability to undertake a range of different tasks, manual dexterity, computer literacy, ability to work diligently and conscientiously within given time constraints. Previous experience of laboratory or analytical work within a cytogenetic laboratory is desirable.
The salary offered will be commensurate with experience & qualifications.
