Description : Binit has a wide range of data sources and types. These need to be managed, cleaned and analysed to help us a) improve operational efficiency and b) help our customers improve their recycling performance.
To source, format and present data securely in a relevant way for analysis using basic methods; to communicate outcomes appropriate to the audience; analyse structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes; blend data from multiple sources as directed and apply legal and ethical principles when manipulating data.
You will be responsible for collecting and processing data under the guidance of a senior colleague or multiple colleagues across the business. This data will then be presented to colleagues for operational improvement reasons, or to customers to help them understand their performance and how to improve it.

Source data from a collection of already identified trusted sources in a secure manner.
Analyse simple and complex structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes using basic statistical methods to analyse the data.
Blend data by combining data from various sources and formats to explore its relevance for the business needs

Validate results of analysis using various techniques, e.g. cross checking, to identify faults in data results and to ensure data quality
Communicate results verbally, through reports and technical documentation and tailoring the message for the audience
Collaborate with people both internally and externally at all levels with a view to creating value from data
Practise continuous self learning to keep up to date with technological developments to enhance relevant skills and take responsibility for own professional development.
Please note: This role will include office work with occasional working from home. Possible travel when rolling out in a new area.
Hours: 35.00 per week
About the employer:
Binit provides brilliant recycling and rubbish services for businesses. We do this on an ‘Uber’ model, so we don’t own any vehicles, but we own the bins and are developing tech in the bins. We’ve been trading 2 years and are currently expanding out of Exeter across the South West.
Requirements and Prospects:
Source and migrate data from already identified different sources – we use many subcontractors and the data we receive is in a wide range of forms, accessed through portals, spreadsheets, invoices, sometimes physical weigh bridge tickets, as well as our app

Computer literacy, especially familiarity with spreadsheets, databases and general office applications such as Outlook, Excel and MS Teams

Working with the Product Manager the aim is for the apprentice to become a full time Data Analyst at the end of training. A key member of the technical team, there will be continued opportunities to develop and grow.
Training Provided:
One day a week (during term time) spent at College focusing on:
IFA Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship
End Point Assessment
Functional skills for Maths & English if required
Additional Information:
GCSE Maths & English at Level C/4 (or equivalent)
