The Development Program Administrator is part of the Youth Development Program for Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.
Job Description:
The Development Program Administrator will be critical in the day-to-day administrative duties of the MNUFC Development Programs, including the MLS Next and MLS Next Pro. Working with youth development program leadership, MNUFC2 leadership and coaches, the Development Program Administrator ensures that the logistical and support needs for training, travel, games, events and other MLS Next and Next Pro activities are met. The Development Program Administrator will report to the Director of Team Operations. This is a full-time position located in Blaine, MN.
Essential Duties:
Administrative
Manage the registration process for players through MLS Next and other applicable competitions to ensure all players are properly registered
Oversee roster management for all upcoming games and events
Manage budget, invoicing, and expense reporting for MLS Next and MLS Next Pro
Set-up and maintain TeamSnap App for all scheduling of training and matches
Maintain proper records for rosters, insurance and waivers
Act as the Club subject matter expert on all MLS Next and MLS Next Pro rules and regulations
Provide communication to players, parents, coaches and staff about training/match schedule, travel questions, missing equipment, etc.
Manage relationships and programming with local youth clubs and youth soccer bodies
Oversee travel coordination by booking and coordinating transportation, hotels and meals for team travel, e.g., reserve meeting rooms, prepare rooming lists, coordinate IT needs
Work with Human Resources and Player Care to ensure staff and player onboarding is being completed, assisting as needed with paperwork, housing, transportation, etc.
Partner with Front Office and Stadium Operations on an as needed basis
Competition
Communicate with opponents in order to coordinate home and away matches, time of games, uniforms, availability of locker rooms, athletic trainer access and training fields
Schedule referees for friendlies matches through local referee’s assignor; confirm referees for all matches and record names of referees for accurate payment
Assist in maintaining annual competition calendar for all age group teams showing training, travel, recovery and off days
Other duties as directed by the Director of Team Administration and Vice President of Soccer Operations
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or combination of education and work experience
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, particularly tasks that are time sensitive
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Ability to keep a strong and positive attitude that reflects the spirit of the Club
This role requires a high level of trust and managing delicate and sensitive information
Ability to manage a diverse project load, maintain attention to detail, and regularly communicate and build strong, positive relationships with staff is essential
Requirements:

Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and the occasional holiday
Some travel required

Preferred:
Familiarity with the professional soccer landscape preferred
Ability to speak in other languages is a plus
