Apply now!Essential Duties and responsibilitiesReceives patient into treatment/exam area: weighs patient, takes temperature and blood pressure pre and post – dialysis; document on all dialysis flow sheetsPerforms and records vital signs and all other parameters in ESRD patient per facility policy and/or state regulations; obtain blood samples and culture specimens and prepare of shipmentDocument patient observations and seeks guidance where levels are out of normal range for ESRD patientReport patient parameters to registered nurse as neededReview dialysis prescription, notes general physical and mental condition of patient through observation and interview, obtain information and/ or data to determine compliance or dietary or medication regimen; document observationsInitiate dialysis via approved access using proper cannulation or central venous catheter (“CVC”) techniques in accordance with state, federal and local regulationsPerforms clerical duties as needed which may include: filling, lab requisitions, scheduling appointment, answering phones, ordering supplies, billing, copying, faxing, data entry, maintaining patient chartsSets up and monitors dialysis machines and reverse osmosis( “RO”) water system for correct functioning, responds to visual and audible alarms and makes appropriate adjustments before, during and after the dialysis treatment, perform safety checks as directed by the registered nurseDismantles, clean, and disinfects dialysis machines and equipment in accordance to company procedure; performs appropriate end of therapy terminal cleaning and disinfection of the dialysis equipmentIf performing reuse function, know and understand all procedures related to dialyzer and complete required training as applicableMinimal QualificationsHigh School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, Dialysis Tech Certification, or equivalent requiredDialysis Technician Certificate by a CMS approved state certification program or a national commercially available certificate program required within 18 months of hire or position changeCurrent CPR certification requiredBasic computer skills, proficiency in MS Word and OutlookJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid sick timePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insuranceMedical Specialty:DialysisSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)License/Certification:CCHT (Required)CPR Certification (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
