Description : At AstraZeneca, we put patients first and strive to meet their unmet needs worldwide. We’re deeply committed to our strategy of being a great place to work. For us, that includes fostering an environment where everyone can be among inclusive, supportive individuals with curious minds.
A company that genuinely follows the science and values individuals at all levels, you’ll be backed and encouraged to speak up, ask questions, and share ideas to push the boundaries of science and continuously learn and explore.
Take the path less travelled and let your rebel spirit soar.
We understand that full time study at university isn’t for everyone. That’s why our Apprenticeship Programmes offer a practical, exciting and highly rewarding alternative to the traditional route. One where you can achieve a degree or qualification, earn a salary, and gain the hands-on experience that will set you up for future success.
Breaking free from conventional learning, you’ll work on real projects and tasks with serious impact from day one. Encouraging you to be curious and courageous to try new things and take on challenges in an incredibly supportive and empowering team. Collaborating with peers and colleagues with diverse perspectives across our business and guided by expert managers and mentors to achieve your goals and contribute to our shared objectives.
This means being part of our journey to provide life changing medicine to patients all over the world. Because here, regardless of background or role, we all have a part to play in making a positive difference.
In Digital Health Research & Development (R&D), we are transforming and reimagining clinical trials and patient care through new technology, data and AI to improve patient outcomes and experience.
The Digital Health R&D function has a focus on accelerating and differentiating our clinical development programmes through new solutions and looking beyond the pill towards the development of new ways of improving patient health. We work actively with global teams at AstraZeneca to explore approaches that can combine our innovative new treatments with evidence-based digital health solutions, such as digital biomarkers, digital diagnostics and digital therapeutics.
What you’ll do
Working closely with your allocated Project Team you will:
Evaluate, select and develop digital solutions for use in clinical trials
Advise on clinical decisions related to digital health transformation
Evaluate and promote effective use of digital technologies within AstraZeneca
Conduct oversight activities associated with vendors delivering digital services to AstraZeneca
Set up, populate and accurately maintain technology information in accordance with compliance procedures
Act as an internal expert on documents, procedures and templates related to the delivery of digital technology
Training and Development
AstraZeneca will sponsor you through your Healthcare Science Practitioner degree at the University of Warwick. https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/healthcare-science-practitioner-integrated-degree-v1-0
The apprenticeship combines working, earning a full-time salary, with fully funded part-time university learning (on average 1 day/week). This will give you the opportunity to gain a BSc qualification, just as you would if you went to university full-time, with the advantage of gaining relevant work-life skills and the excitement of helping to develop new medicines whilst taking your first steps towards a rewarding career.
We truly value Early Talent– their thoughts, ideas and contributions. So throughout the programme, you’ll be encouraged and inspired to speak up, have a voice and make an impact.
