Position
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a proven track record in leading digital transformation across a range of digital platforms and products. As an established digital leader, you will have the skills to influence at every level, imparting your digital knowledge and skills in a constructive, empowering, and collaborative way.
You’ll be joining us at a pivotal time as we have just launched our new digital subscription app, JUM, which forms a key strategic part of our overall business growth.
In this role you’ll also oversee and be accountable for our IT Services team.
As our Digital Director you will:
Digital transformation
Lead a team of digital delivery experts including the Head of Digital Product and Head of Engineering to deploy tactics to meet our strategic objectives
Collaborate with Chief Brand Officer, Creative Director and Commercial Director to bring digital to the centre of the Jamie OIiver business and develop strategy to identify future commercial growth opportunities through both existing and new initiatives
Lead on the delivery of our KPIs across all our digital platforms (App, Web, CRM and Social) and contribute to and deliver ambitious development roadmap for future growth
Measure ROI on digital projects, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure we’re investing in the right tools and resources
Own the Digital P&L; ensure that we are delivering against commercial and cost management goals
Build complex business cases to support our plans and to ensure we agree correct levels of funding and ROI calculations to achieve success
Set clear and solid commercial and social goals for the team, and hold regular employee reviews and support the team’s continuous development
Collaborate with the Head of Digital Marketing to implement and maintain a best in class CRM programme
Identify, assess and negotiate terms with commercial and technology partners in order to further our digital plans
Lead a collaboration of commercial partners, external product/technology delivery companies, as well as our internal Digital and Creative teams to deliver a multi-streamed, test and learn approach to product development
Ensure the Digital strategy is aligned with Jamie’s vision and the Company’s financial and social objectives
IT Services Technologies
Lead and develop our 3 person IT Services team, ensuring it is able, willing, and equipped to support colleagues in delivering their business needs
Ensure the provision of a high-quality IT service delivered by a combination of internal teams and external, managed service provision
IT budget management
Direct and manage information technology strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for all activities across the Jamie Oliver Group, ensuring high levels of security at all times.
Oversee the the IT Manager, ensuring high level delivery of:
IT strategy and lifecycle
Governance processes
Service level delivery
Regular service reviews
Enhancement of business performance through IT solutions
Alignment of IT service delivery with business strategy
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Experience defining a meaningful, business focussed digital strategy with associated business plans
Platform management processes and delivery experience
Strong technical knowledge of web and app delivery architectures
Management and oversight of multiple concurrent products, platforms and worksteams
CMS driven responsive web and apps (iOS & Android min)
E-commerce product delivery/management
Data driven product development
Experience leading internal and external supplier dev teams
Budget management and planning
Demonstrable experience of Agile methodologies
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL ALSO NEED
Strong leadership and negotiation skills combined with an entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to lead, inspire and grow individuals within a team
Ability to translate technical solutions to non-technical business owners
A genuine passion for content and connecting with audiences
