Following the appointment of Professor Penny Macbeth as Director in May 2020, we are currently developing our new strategic plan that will take us up to 2027. This is a stakeholder engaged process that will connect across the GSA’s community to help us shape our shared values and ambition for the School and inform the changes we need to make to realise a successful and sustainable future.
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual as Director of HR to play an important role in not only helping us develop our future, providing challenge and insight as we develop our plans, but also supporting us in their implementation. This is a key appointment, reporting into the Director, focusing on ensuring that Human Resources plays an essential role, while leading a small professional team, in enabling the GSA to meet its strategic objectives.
Applicants should be CIPD qualified and able to offer significant experience in a senior role within Human Resource Management; a track record of successful HR policy development and implementation; experience of successful consultation and negotiation with trade unions, and excellent motivational, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in constructive partnership with a range of key stakeholders.
