Role Description:
Role in the Global Markets Trading Risk team. Be responsible for overseeing the firm’s real-time global trading risks. To achieve this, Global Markets Trading Risk works closely with the line of business heads, coverage teams and our Risk Management partners. The role requires a combination of quantitative, business and technical expertise and as such requires close co-operation with our partners in trading and technology.
Advise senior management about the real-time Global Markets Trading Risk
Responsibility for analysing and presenting to management the drivers of risk and P&L thereby anticipating drawdowns
Monitoring and guiding Global Markets Trading performance through the creation of analytics and reporting
Advise business on Trading Risk and impact of specific transactions on the overall business
Drive firm wide initiatives to improve Global Markets Trading strategy
Enhancing/optimizing existing infrastructure and tools
Providing peer analysis, market colour and generating hedging ideas
Building reports, analytics and visualizations related to business performance
Conducting in-depth data analysis of markets, strategy performance, etc
Working closely with our technology and quant partners to guide the firm’s real-time global trading risks platform and collaborate on projects
Core Skills:
Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills are required
Technical skills to digest large data sets and deliver a concise story
Ability to speak with senior trading staff about complex topics
Demonstrate previous experience managing projects and governance routines
Anticipating the Global Markets Trading Risk requirements of trading businesses
Academic background at undergraduate or Masters/PhD level in a quantitative subject (Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other analytical background preferred)
Strong programming skills in Python
Extensive knowledge and experience in FICC/Equities products
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong attention to detail necessary
Must work well in a collaborative team environment; have ability to learn quickly and be able to take on new responsibilities

As a Global Markets team member, your role offers market-making, financing, securities-clearing, settlement and custody services globally to our institutional investor clients in support of their investing and trading activities.
