Description : Tiggers Nurseries in Cirencester are now recruiting for an Early Years Teacher and Curriculum Leader to join our Management team.The RoleAs an Early Years Teacher, you will be working full time whilst role modelling your knowledge and best practice to colleagues and ensuring our children have the best start in life. As Curriculum Leader you will ensure that Quality and Teaching is consistent and exceptional throughout the setting. Non-child contact time will be supported by your Management colleagues in order to carry out any meetings, reports or training duties. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Preferred Early Years Teacher Status (EYT) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Minimum of L3 in Childcare (Early Years)Previous experience working and caring for children under 5, within an early years setting. Minimum 2 yearsPassion to deliver high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunitiesKey Responsibilities & Duties: As a Curriculum Leader you are third in Charge (Assistant Deputy) of the Nursery and are directly working as part of the Management Team.You will support all practitioners across all playrooms with their learning and enabling environments, aiming to consistently achieve outstanding care and education across the setting.You will be assessing and observing all practitioners (peer obbs) along with the other Mangers to constantly monitor and improve outcomes for children.You will take pride in your teams planning, observation and assessment procedure whilst ensuring that they are detailed, reflective an provide developmentally challenging next steps.You would act as Mentor to other practitioners who are starting their learning journey in Childcare.Remain up to date and inform others of our childcare policies and procedures.Be a key player to ensure the nursery receives excellent outcomes in internal audits and those of external authorities such as Ofsted, CI and CIW.Keep up to date with news and research within the sector and consider how this impacts your practice and your teamAs a leader of the pre-school room, you have overall responsibility to ensure the relevant statutory and legal welfare and curriculum requirements are always met.As a key-worker, you will ensure every individual child’s needs are met, including supporting parents with any SEND/ASL needs and prioritise the safeguarding of children, working with the Setting SENDcoSpeak up against practices that don’t support safeguarding or our core values.Get to know the families at the setting and create a good relationship with parents whilst also able to manage and resolve parental complaints/concerns in a timely manner.Build relationships with local schools to help create an effective transition for each child.We reserve the right to close a job prior to the initial closing date.
